Yes. This is a big question. The short answer is: a good bit of it, but not the kind of stuff you can see. Our Head Dwarf has been working his dwarven tooshie off building out the systems that run the game itself. If you think of a building a game like building a well...building...then it's safe to say we've poured the foundation and framed in the structure and run the electric. Now we're ready to bring in the things that make the building the kind of place you'd like to spend time in: plumbing, drywall, paint, finishings, furniture, that kind of thing.
So far the Head Dwarf and his wonderful wife have paid for everything themselves. The goal is to get a vertical slice of the game ready to show off, then seek funding either through crowd funding or with a publishing partner.
We're targeting early 2023 as our funding date.
We're currently targeting a launch on PC through Steam. That's where the 4X Strategy crowd tends to play, so it's best we show up where they are!
Nope! Everything on this site is 100% subject to change. Our Lead Pixelmancer has done fantastic work with our concept art and the few production pieces he's been cleared to work on. Game development, however, is agile...fluid...things will iterate often based on feedback from our core team, our Councilmembers, and our Alpha and Beta testers.
And when the Head Dwarf goes mad, scraps everything to date and demands that we start over.
